OCTOBER POPULATION

With the summer crowd gone home, locals all seem to take this time for vacation, the snow has not prepared the slopes. +
Such strange creatures have started to inhabit the streets in Tahoe City.

Should we be scared or just have a good laugh!

NAPA VALLEY GOLF HOME

Silverado Country Club members are excited about the new Johnny Miller association.a We give reference to articles recently published in Napa and Sonoma newspapers. This home is adjacent to the 18th Green, minutes to the historic Silverado clubhouse and fabulous spa.

The home is spacious and full of light. The patio table is set for the Fourth of July party as a front seat to the fireworks. It is an annual event for the current owners.
Most evenings one can watch the last golfers finish up their rounds.
As dusk starts to settle, residents take advantage of the golf cart paths for a stroll around the greens.

More excitement mounts with news of the new managemnet teams: Troon for management of the courses, and Dolce as the management of the resort and historic clubhouse. Both companies are long established and among the tops in their areas. Long an established retreat in the Napa Valley, the new consortium promises to bring freshness and polish to "Lady Silverado".

NOW would be the time to grab this well positioned home right there by the 18th green; a short hop by cart or a gentle stroll to the Clubhouse, Spa, or golf shop.

These are a few views inside and out of the home awaiting you. Right by the 18th Green of the new Silverado Country Club sponsored by Johnny Miller and team.

THE BARN

"fROM field to fORK"
Celebrating 100 years on the same family farm in the Sierra Valley. Dinner for 60 - in the barn - all produce organic and from the adjacent fields. First dinner was a fund raiser; event was so successful, the dinner is repeated as an event several times each summer season.
Mark Estee from Moodys made the trip with his crew to chef and serve his special dinner.

KEEPING IT TOGETHER

Pilates is so popular nationwide; Truckee now has it's own studio. At the base of Tahoe Donner area, the girls are helping keep the men and women in top condition for sports and LIFE.

New Generation

Park City skiers off to the first day of school. Good 3R's will give you girls more time to make some turns. That gal on the left was also a good fundraiser for MS last season.

Squaw Valley Home

Is that your new car in front? Great house overlooks golf course and ski area. Also has two workout rooms, one has ballet bar... comfy library and inspiring kitchen; currently owned by the family of champion skiers who are ready to move on... Who is next for this special spot?

Last days of summer

Lots of visitors and homeowners this summer despite those gas prices. Prices on great properties are relaxing. You can still have a pier and lakefront for under $2,000,000. This site is very private and does have four bedrooms.

Who's looking???

Portland Personality

One of my favorite new residents of Portland, OR. This is his visit to Lake Tahoe to meet his Tahoe family. He loved the lake and all of the good people at Tahoe. Hope to see him again soon, in Tahoe!

BLOGTIME

Blogging tricks best acquired from a newer generation. Those years of their education pay off. O. , on the right, also grew up on the slopes of Squaw. Still a great place to raise a family even if its only weekends and holidays.

OVER THERE

AB, young man on the right is a Captain with JAG. Now stationed in Baghdad involved in helping Iraq's peoples learn about "rule of law".
Another product of growing up in Tahoe on the slopes of Squaw Valley. Not an enthusiast of the initial decision, he is happy to be part of trying to solve and clean up.

LITTLE SHREDDERS

G N is a young skier in Park City who is active in raising dollars for MS as part of the "Little Shredders", a young ski team. They have been invited to Vail next week to participate in the final event of the season. Jimmy Heuga Foundation has been active in the ski community for years raising money for research on MS.

For more information on the event click on link

“All of the Heuga Center’s programs are based on the philosophy that you can have a chronic condition AND have your health. With our team of MS experts in fields such as neurology, psychology, nutrition, and physical, occupational and speech therapy, the programs provide supportive and nurturing environments where participants learn how to minimize the impact of MS….”

Home is so important. A good environment for young children was the attraction which brought us all to the Lake Tahoe area.
