For the next two weekends 29-32 artists will be featured in the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee areas. The Open Studio event allows one entry into their private studios. Admission is free and it is a great way to check out the area while enjoying beautiful art. The tour includes Paintings, Artistry in Wood, Photography, Ceramics, Printmaking, Constructivist Sculputure & Neon, Glass, Stained Glass, Kilnformed & Fused Glass, Wearable Arts, Handweavings, and Pottery. The mission of North Tahoe Arts is to support the arts in the North Tahoe and Truckee communities through exposure, education, and participation. Visit http://www.northtahoearts.com/ for all the details or pick-up a map at the North Tahoe Art Center at 380 North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City.

Randall Strauss' (shown above) paintings often depict the everyday life found at the boat marinas of Lake Tahoe, the back streets of Truckee, and the trails around Fallen Leaf Lake. This year's ARTou show will include watercolors from recent travels and new large oils of Lake Tahoe.

Home is so important. A good environment for young children was the attraction which brought us all to the Lake Tahoe area.
